Here is an example of how in Lightroom you can compare the before and after images of what you are working on the is very useful I think as you have more of an idea of whats going on in your image.

This is a photograph of part of Victoria park again. The image on the left is quite underexposed as I was using ISO100 with a shutter speed of around 1/60th @f22 when the light was fading. So into Lightroom I pop the image and use the basic section slider on the develop module to adjust the exposure and voila! the image is now exposed a lot better and has increased the detail on the row of trees and the buildings. I also added a touch of sharpening to the image and a little saturation to the colour, I mean who doesn’t like a bit of vividness to their images!

Screen Shot 2017-10-23 at 17.28.42.pngMaybe some would say the colours are too vivid but in Art photography its up to the photographer as to how vivid they want the image although I’m sure they would take any criticism on board from their peers.

I did find the colour in the cloud a rather bright orange that’s probably a reason I took this photograph almost giving a look of an apocalyptic explosion in the distance more so because of the added saturation in Lightroom. green space-2
